Mercy Squeaks

I walked 11 kilometers today.  It was an absolutely fabulous day and I hope to find time to write about it soon (Spoiler alert: I didn’t).  But somewhere during our 2.5-hour walk, it came to my attention that my right boot, Mercy, squeaks.  Not a little quiet squeak, but a loud-ish, noticeable squeak.  Stepping right, left, right sounds like squeak, step, squeak, step, squeak, step…

There’s some cosmic justice to the fact that I have boots that simply can’t be quiet.
